Gwinnett Technical College to Host Transfer Fair for Students and Alumni

Gwinnett Technical College will host its annual Next Step Transfer Fair on Mon., Feb. 29, from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Busbee Center – Building 700, on the College’s Lawrenceville campus. Open to current Gwinnett Tech students and alumni who want to continue their education toward a bachelor’s degree, the event is free and registration is not necessary.

Participating in the fair will be 23 different colleges and universities, all of which have articulation agreements with Gwinnett Tech and/or the Technical College System of Georgia. The fair gives potential students a convenient opportunity to speak with multiple representatives and compare academic options.

“This is a great way for our students and alumni to fast track this next step in their education. In just a few hours, they are able to learn about program offerings and the transfer process with many area colleges and universities,” said Rebecca Alexander, dean of academic affairs at Gwinnett Tech. “We want to make it as seamless as possible for our students who wish to continue on and earn their bachelor’s degree, and the transfer fair can be a big part of that goal.”

Gwinnett Tech offers associate degree options in a variety of program areas, plus hundreds of diploma and technical certificate of credit offerings. Currently, Gwinnet Tech has articulation agreements with more than 30 colleges and universities, allowing for the seamless transfer of course credit for many of the college’s popular programs. Additionally, the Technical College System of Georgia has agreements with the University System of Georgia (USG) and the Georgia Independent College Association (GICA) to make it easy to transfer credits between SACS-COC accredited colleges, including 27 general education classes.

Gwinnett Technical College offers more than 150 degree, diploma and certificate program options that can be completed in two years or less. For more information, visit or call 770-962-7580.
