Gwinnett Tech Welcomes Students To Fall Semester
Gwinnett Technical College welcomed more than 6,500 new and returning students Wednesday as classes began at Georgia’s third largest technical college. From Culinary, Interiors and Photography to Automotive, Welding and Cosmetology, students began arriving and seeking out a parking spot early to beat the crowds. Healthcare students arrived with their scrubs, and Business and Computer Science students hit the labs, while others visited the Bookstore to purchase items for classes. Lots of smiling faces also stopped by the Student Life Center to learn more about upcoming social events and clubs to enrich their student experience.
The “first day” will expand through the week as classes continue to meet for the first time. And the celebrating won’t stop there – Gwinnett Tech Student Life will host its Welcome Back Event on Sept. 10 in Building 100. Students are also being featured on social media with photographs and videos of new and returning students– showing off the excitement of the first day of class as well as offering some advice to their fellow classmates on how to succeed in college.
To keep up with all the excitement between classes, follow and connect with us on social media, including Facebook and Twitter. If you take a photograph of your first day experience, be sure to tag it with #GwinnettTech.
